It’s paradoxical . On weekdays just after noon for an hour or so the road outside our home at RPS Flats, Sheikh Sarai, turns into a frenzy of activity as the nearby Apeejay School breaks for the day. Cars, taxis, buses, scooters, motorcycles, cycles jostle with each other as they hurtle into a deadlock . That’s when time stands still for us as we stay indoors not daring to venture out as we wait for the frenzy to subside.
Magically the mess clears up and its back to business as usual and life goes on again. No one wants to calm the madness when a little regulation would be a boringly simple solution.
