Great Programmes & those who made it possible

So it was that my early days in Xerox also coinsided with a sea of personal develpoment courtesy the Soka Gakai , whose focus is on ones own human revolution and being a better human being. From being extremely self centred , I think I became a bit more of a caring parent , a considerate husband , a better team player , and more concerned about the over all good ,than on how I was doing and whether I was getting the right recognition . I am sure the process of learning and changing is continuous and much more needs still to be done .I’m alert to this ands watchfull on the ways to keep the improvement cycle moving .
If the early part of my stay in Xerox was influenced alot by the Soka experience , the later half was a period of participating in three exceptionally good programmes or should I say movements. It was my good fortune to be associated with all of these and also my good fortune to have the right team members at every stage ,who imbibed the philosophy , nature and purposeof these programmes and gave them their very best .With out the support of these stalwarts we may never have achieved the results we did .. nor could we sit back now and think so fondly of those days .
The movements I speak off and which will now form the subject of the next several months or I dare say years of activity on the blog are , the movement of the team from a solely copier or analogue team to a very digitaly savvy team — a very heart warming and at ther same time an amazing development .Thekey players in this movement have all moved on to new roles and responsibilities out side Xerox and today serve as very significant contributors  of the service and out sourcing operations of Wipro &  HP , two of the best known names in the IT industry in India. The next great movement was the Self Managed Work Group (SMWG ) movement , that served to develope team members across the hierarchy into excellant leaders .Many of the Group Cordinators of the early days of that movement have gone on to hold high positions in Xerox and outside Xerox . From the humble backgrounds to the position they occupy today is a tribute to the far reaching benefits of this movement.Lastly a movementthat has helped create a new breed of entrpreneurs was the Service Outsource Programme .Copier engineers rose to become  successful entrepreneurs , often employing their parents in their ventures and growing to occupy good positions in society .Each of these movements could take a life time to unravel and I may never be able to do justice to them in the entries of a blog .I hope to bring a bit of life and a varied view point by getting the major players of the day in each programme to contribute entries to the blog .I hope I am successful in this .I have spoken to many about this blog and my desire to have tham participate .Time will tell how many actually do so .Let us wait and see.
Of the many I would speak or refer to often in the entries to follow Balaji, Ajit,Balakumar, Chandramouli,Surendran,Jagan ,Vaidya, Kapila , Bijani,Ram,Sudhir Putran, Anurag,Muruganadam,Rajesh, PK Gupta, Farooqui, Bhargab,ML Aggarwal,Vijay Sehdev ,Ravi Dhale ,Mitesh Dave, BS arun Kumar, Arun Thapar , Ramki,Samuel Koshy,Amit Roy, Vibhas Joshi,Pankaj Arora, Nitin Jagtap, Jatinder & Harpreet are some that imediately come to mind .. there will be several more and more names will unravel as the story unfolds .. there is simply an unending roll of honour of people who contributed their mite for the success of these movements. My sincere thanks to all of them .
